How does Hypnosis work?
Hypnosis sets you in a free state of mind. Open to suggestion and new ideas. You can relax your body, and even overcome fears. If you allow yourself to enter a hypnotic state, your mind and body will experience something quite fascinating.
Does Hypnosis work for everyone?
Hypnosis will work if you want it to. There is a small percentage of people who say they can't be hypnotised. The truth is, during each day, without us actually knowing it, we all enter some level of trance.
All of the above are examples of trance state. Hypnosis takes you even deeper and talks to your subconscious mind while your conscious mind sleeps, allowing the therapy to enter permanently into your brain. You will notice the changes in yourself, even after one session. All you have to do is relax and listen.
How do you Hypnotise someone?
There are various methods of hypnosis and because everyone is different, some of the methods will work better on some more than others.
The most popular type of Hypnosis is where the Hypnotist talks directly to the client's subconciousness mind and this method works well with most people. However when a Hypnotist comes across a client who refuses to relax fully because of over analysis of everything, it is then that a different type of Hypnosis is used.
Ericksonian Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques work better on those who are critical or analytical in their thinking processes. This type of Hypnosis works by embedding the suggestions into stories or metaphors that can connect to the subconscious mind without the client even realising what is happening.
Confusion techniques work by overloading the brain, then when the trance state is triggered, the shock puts the confused client into a deep relaxing rest. This is also known as Pattern Interrupt Technique. A well known method is the handshake method.
Eye fixation method works by making the client put all their attention on an object... Be is a crystal, pocket watch, spiral or something else that can catch the clients attention. When the client is completely focused on something you can then say things to their subconcious mind and implant suggestions easily.
There are many methods and theories about Hypnosis.. One thing is for sure, it gets results and can be life changing.
